Digital Health Equity Observatory
Mapping where digital transformation in health risks leaving people behind.
WHAT IS THE OBSERVATORY?
The Digital Health Equity Observatory draws on open data - deprivation, census, connectivity, and NHS sources - to bring together digital exclusion, population vulnerability, and healthcare access at ICB, Local Authority Borough and neighbourhood level.
It shows not just where the risks sit, but who is affected and where communities already have the resilience to withstand them.
It turns scattered national datasets into a single, navigable picture that commissioners, local authorities, and the voluntary sector can act on.
Digital Exclusion Mapping
Neighbourhood-level data on who is at risk of being left behind by digital health transformation.
Population Vulnerability
Layering deprivation, census, and connectivity data to understand compounding disadvantage across communities.
Healthcare Access
NHS data integrated with local context to reveal gaps in equitable access to digital health services.
Community Resilience
Identifying where communities have existing strengths to build on, not just where the challenges are.
